In 1968, Robert Van Erum started his own company for the distribution of blackboards of the German company Weyel in Belgium. At the time, the Weyel brand was known for their collection of glass-based blackboards. As early as 1972, Robert set up his own production line for blackboards, the first step in building the Vanerum brand. 360° Solutions 100% Belgian 50 years of experience Over the years, other companies were acquired and the focus shifted to the design and production of complete classroom furnishings, including school furniture. In 1996, Robert's son Gert Van Erum became the new CEO of the company. He integrated technological solutions such as projectors and interactive whiteboards, laying the foundation for the interactive classroom as we know it today. Ultimately, this would lead to the spin-off 'i3 Technologies', with its own designed, developed and produced hardware & software. Our current solutions At i3 Solutions we strive for the optimal learning environment where students and teachers can feel at home. Our range includes modern school furniture with which we develop flexible learning zones, over versatile writing boards, to the incorporation of smart digital solutions that support teaching. Some examples of our award-winning Vanerum products are the Delta Chair, the Opti+ collection, the SEED collection and, of course, the blackboard that started it all. Production in Belgium With us you are assured of reliable delivery times, because we are the only manufacturer to develop and produce our products here in Belgium. In this way we limit the transport kilometers and our ecological footprint. We also use a circular system in which value is preserved by reusing products or raw materials, thereby minimizing the destruction of raw materials. Where to find us? i3-Solutions is present in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Each country has its own sales department and showroom. We develop our products with optimization of learning environments in mind, so our target groups are schools and educational institutions, with specific emphasis on pre-school, primary, secondary and higher education. We market all these products under the brand name 'Vanerum' and 'i3-Technologies'.
